Dear Jeff Choir Parents, Alumni, and Friends,
On March 5th, we will once again be hosting the Xtreme Show Choir Showdown. Jeff Choirs will be hosting 20 choirs at this year’s competition. A Cappella, Expressions, First Edition, and Varsity Singers will also be performing at our competition, however, it will be in exhibition only.
This is an all-day event. The day will begin around 6:00 AM and last until at least midnight. To make this event a success, we are asking that ALL Jeff choir families sign up to volunteer at least one 4-hour shift. Anyone can volunteer, so feel free to bring family & friends. Alumni are welcome, too.
Volunteers may take multiple shifts and work in different areas. Many volunteers plan to stay all day. Food will be available for all who participate.
Volunteer opportunities include volunteer check in, hallway monitors, performance and warm-up rooms, cafeteria helpers, baking cookies, selling tickets & programs, etc.
Please wear comfortable shoes, and nice jeans(minimal rips please), or black or khaki pants . We will provide an Xtreme t-shirt to wear for the day when you check in. The goal is to look nice, however be comfortable.
For some, but not all of the areas of the competition, you may be required to have an LSC background check. This is quick to get and costs roughly $18, and it is good for two years. You will need this for most all volunteer positions with the school, and we encourage you to get it.
