Lafayette Jeff has a choir for every level of desired participation! Whether you want to have a fun choir with minimal rehearsal time and low-stress singing or an intensive choir with challenging music, we have multiple options for you. Here are our the different choirs we offer.

CSN

The CSN choir is intended for freshman boys along with other boys who want a fun, relaxed choir with minimal rehearsal time outside of school. It’s a great first choir or an experience for your entire Jeff career – it’s up to you! You’ll sing and do light choreography with an emphasis on enjoyable show tunes and some occasional more serious songs to help you develop your singing ability.

Accents

If you’re a freshman girl or any girl looking for a choir experience with minimum outside rehearsal time, Accents is for you! We will do a small amount of competition combined with a lot of fun and learning.

A Capella

If you want a chance to compete in a mixed show choir setting, but without the intense practice schedule of the First Edition choir, A Capella is for you! Open to boys and girls sophomore through senior, with freshmen allowed to try out by request, A Capella has a reasonable outside practice schedule and a limited competition season.

Expressions

Open to girls sophomore through senior, with freshmen girls allowed to try out by request, Expressions is the all girls show choir that has the more intense practice and competition schedule. If you want a strong show choir experience and as much competition as possible, this is the choir for you.

First Edition

Open to boys and girls sophomore through senior, with freshmen allowed to try out by request, The First Edition is the mixed show choir that has the more intense practice and competition schedule. If you want a strong show mixed choir experience and as much competition as possible, this is the choir for you.

Varsity Singers

Open to boys and girls sophomore through senior, with freshmen allowed to try out by request, Varsity Singers is a mixed concert choir with challenging but rewarding music and an intense competition schedule. If you want to challenge yourself and sing unforgettable music, this is the concert choir for you.
